The program blocks ads in smartphone web browser and applications installed on them, while at the same time prevents this free application without downloading advertising programs and worms on the device, if the user presses on an ad by mistake.

In contrast to other ad-blocking software like AdAway or AdFree Android Adblock Plus program works on smart phones even without breaking the protection system known as Android "Alroot".

However the program does not filter ads only if the smartphone is connected to the Internet through wireless network WLAN.

If the user wants to block ads that appear through the mobile telephony networks, the program Adblock Plus needs to break the protection system Android smartphone, which is not favored by some users, so this procedure on their own.
