Almkhrpshin secret behind Google graphics
See
hundreds of millions of Internet users paintings are often used around
the slogan "Google" search; but of inventing these graphics?!
The
story back to 1998, when it began to draw a stick behind the letter "o"
in the word "Google" and to indicate that the staff team outside the
workplace, then the evolution of drawing simple to complex designs,
games and graphics art to celebrities and notable events.
And
appeared on the site more than a thousand of drawings depicting famous
personalities and other lesser known, and reviewing the anniversary of
some events; and turn increasingly to become more interactive and the
ability to participate.
During
the 2012 Olympics, was the site of Google published a new daily fee
associated with one of the Olympics above the search box.
Creators graphics
With each new fee or "scribble" published by the site, shows a large number of news stories on the Internet. But in spite of this concern, there is not much focus on the creators of these drawings.
These drawings of a group of people working in a small office in the U.S. state of California and call themselves "Almkhrpshin".
The
team leader says Ryan Jermak that his team had not reckoned on the idea
that a huge number of people who follow their work, adding, "just make
sure we represent art and technology at the best possible picture."
The
Jermak indicates that his team does not classify himself as artists or
designers, explained by saying, "We are the boundaries between
entertainment and art and technical drawing and graphics. This is a very blurry boundaries. "
The
team tries to broadcast as much fun as possible in light of the limited
resources available, as says Jermak; nor attributed to the work of the
working people themselves.
Explains Jermak saying "It's not about us as individuals, but more Google workers associated as a culture."
And sometimes it takes some design "Kherbashat" technical a few hours, while others require several months.
Democratic process
Ryan
explains Jermak team leader to decide on what will be published
drawings as a "fully democratic process," he said, adding that the
choice of drawing to be related to the element of surprise more and
reach a personal memory or suitable, and so rather than to commemorate
public events.
The
play audience suggestions, as well as ideas from the Google offices in
other countries play an important role in determining what "Kherbashat";
is a large part of the work using digital tools for drawing, but
sometimes be out of Scrabble artwork already exists.
And
most of the staff working on the technical side of the graphics do
their jobs under the base of "20 percent" used inside Google, which
requires that the individuals other tasks in the day, while five and can
be customized their time to work on the project.
Says
Chris Hom, a technical engineer who was working in the Database window
"20 percent" and has recently joined the team work full-time Kherbashat,
that "Kherbashat" is a way to make dye "on humanitarian Home."
Is it art
From another angle, says Diane SODIC, director of the Design Museum in London, said "the idea of art that is free of the job. The design - called commercial art - restricted career commitment. "
SODIC adds, "Andy Warhol began as a painter and then became an artist. And sold his drawings as a painter for a lot (of money), but not with the same amount of his works of art. "
The graphic designer Si Scott opines that designs at the moment, including "Kherbashat", represents the new contemporary art.
But Jasmine Montgomery, CEO of marketing company "Brands", disagrees with this vision.
She
says: "Once you get the reward for the use of creativity in
advertising, it is not art in the strict sense, because it serves
commercial purposes."
Yasmin
adds "Kherbashat part of customer service is well designed similar
design hotel for the wonderful lobby or put a product in a beautiful
package."
It
is hard to escape the idea of the commercial purpose associated
Bakherbashat, where they help Google to improve its image, which are
sometimes criticized on users' privacy or tax evasion charges.
In
any case it as long as Google maintains its activity, the this
Kherbashat - whether users consider it an art or design, entertainment
or attempt to polish the name of the company - will remain inherent in
the day-to-day browsing.
